ANIDAN Art Atelier, Lamu, Kenya

A makuti shelter for kids to create art.

The ANIDAN Art atelier was conceived as a small makuti shelter on the compound to allocate the new art workshop for the kids.

The design is a simple structure which provides the basic needs for this purpose: 2 workspaces, a store and several sinks. The workshops are semi-open while the store is the only enclosed space, its high walls are used for a blackboard and exhibition of new creations.
